Sanitizing and Hygiene
(During Machine Operation & Mixing of Soft Serve)

Strictly follow the guidelines and recommendations for operation and cleaning of your soft serve machine according to the manual supplied with it.

General Checklist:

> Before preparing food like our Frosty Boy soft serve and before handling machine parts, wash your hands thoroughly with a disinfectant soap and dry with a paper towel .
> Wash and sanitize hands before handling machine parts when assembling machine.
> Do not overfill the hopper (reservoir tank).
> Keep hopper covered with the proper lid at all times.
> Use only approved, food-grade sanitizer.
> Use only approved, food-grade lubricant for machine parts and keep the cap on the lube. Also sanitize the outside of the tube before handling it to lubricate machine parts.
> Use correct amounts of lube - no more and no less.
> For the correct cleaning cycle of your machine, please refer to the Operator's Manual. Local health regulations must also be checked.
> Always start the machine with a freshly prepared mix.
> For non-heat treat (self pasteurising) machines, discard all leftover mix at least every 3 days to break the cycle of possible bacteria growth.
> All heat treat (self pasteurizing) machines are to be cleaned every 2 weeks.
> Remember: bacteria needs water to survive. Air-Dry all machine parts after cleaning and sanitizing.
> Use brushes supplied with machine to clean parts and barrel properly. Failure to use brushes will result in a milk-stone build-up in the machine, which may harbour potentially dangerous bacteria.
