Three examples

We organize shipping on behalf of our export customers and don’t charge a fee
for this service.
We quote all prices FOB Brisbane, which means that you pay the direct freight
cost - whatever it is at that stage. We shop around for the best freight and
insurance rates to your nearest port and add this cost to your final invoice.
Besides product cost and direct freight cost (including document fees, origin
fees, optional insurance, etc), there are no other hidden costs involved from
our side.
As shipping cost vary from one country to the next, it is impossible to quote
you an all-inclusive price in advance, but the following examples should give
you an idea of what you may expect:

EXAMPLE 1:
A 20' container destined for China - 1365 cartons.
Freight Cost AU$ 1,038.00
Port Service Charge AU$ 68.00
Lift on - lift off cost AU$ 11.00
BAF (Bunker adjustment Factor) Cost AU$ 80.00
Insurance AU$ 150.00
Bill of Lading Fee AU$ 30.00
TOTAL Shipping Cost: AU$ 1,377.00
If you divide $1,377 by the amount of boxes in the container (1365), you get a
freight & insurance cost of only $1.01 per box that you need to add to the
cost of each box. Your only additional cost will be transport from port to your
warehouse and import duties as applicable to your government regulations. |

EXAMPLE 2:
A 20' container destined for the Middle East - 1365 cartons.
Freight Cost AU$ 1,330.00
Port Service Charge AU$ 68.00
Lift on - lift off cost AU$ 11.00
BAF (Bunker adjustment Factor) Cost AU$ 80.00
Insurance AU$ 150.00
Bill of Lading Fee AU$ 30.00 (A war surcharge of US$55.00 per 20’ container was
levied by shipping companies in Jan. 2003, which may be extra.)
TOTAL Shipping Cost: AU$ 1,669.00
If you divide $1,669 by the amount of boxes in the container (1365), you get a
freight & insurance cost of only $1.22 per box that you need to add to the
cost of each box. Your only additional cost will be transport from port to your
warehouse and import duties as applicable to your government regulations.

EXAMPLE 3:
A pallet of soft serve powder destined for Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia (1.9 cubic
metre pallet, weight: 960 kg, 80 boxes of 12 kg)
Freight Cost (All inclusive) AU$ 357.00
Bill of Lading Fee AU$ 30.00
No Insurance required on LCL (Less than Container Load) cargo
TOTAL Shipping Cost: AU$ 387.00
If you divide $387.00 by 80 boxes, you get AU$4.84 total freight cost per box.
Your only additional cost will be transport from port to your warehouse and
import duties as applicable to your government regulations.
