Food Safety and Certification 
  Food Safety and Certification:

We use the world's most gentle but thorough blender equipment and most accurate filling equipment. During the whole manufacturing process everything has been done to protect the integrity and unique qualities of the ingredients because when you abuse instantized milk powder by using 'harsh' blending equipment and powder transfer techniques during manufacturing, it loses its instantizing capabilities.

We use a 'dense phase vacuum transfer system' to gently move ingredients from tipping stations to the blender. The blender we use (a LINDOR) is also very unique in design, which gently 'folds' the powder into itself during the blending process instead of shearing it with harsh augers.

A high capacity, vibrating in-line sifter sieves out any lumps or foreign objects larger than 3mm diameter ensuring consistency in product integrity and consistent granular size.

The batching, blending and filling processes are controlled by computers, which almost completely eliminate human error resulting in unparalleled precision and accuracy.

We also installed an in-line X-ray machine that scrutinizes each bag coming off the production line for foreign objects or matter and even lumps are detected. The X-ray process is so accurate it will pick up unwanted material as small as 1mm. An image is also taken of each bag and stored for future reference. The system also has an auto-reject feature, rejecting any product not within parameters.

Our own laboratory with full-time Health & Safety Officer ensures that every pallet leaving the factory has been tested for quality and integrity and we keep a library sample of all our powder mixes for 2 years in the event of possible queries with regards to a specific batch.

We then go one step further and have each batch bacteriologically tested by an independent laboratory before the product is released into the market, ready for distribution and sale.

We manufacture under a strict HACCP Food Safety code of practice with regular audits done by independent quality assurance bodies and government institutions, and we are subjected to various international franchise food safety audits as well. We have an impeccable food safety record that we are proud of!


 
Factory and Laboratory Certification:

HACCP
HACCP stands for HAZARD ANALYSIS CRITICAL CONTROL POINTS, which is a food safety system that identifies food safety hazards (either microbial, foreign physical objects or chemical) and looks at how a business controls the potential hazards to ensure that it produces safe food.

SAI (Global Assurance Services) is an independent body who does regular inspections and audits to ensure high standards of safety are maintained at all times using HACCP food safety systems. (Our licence number for HACCP approval as accredited by SAI Global is #HCV00234.)

FSQ (Food Safety Queensland) Accredited with FSQ - a government regulatory body in charge of food safety for the Dairy Industry.

AQIS Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) accredited.

AQIS provides quarantine inspection services for the arrival of international passengers, cargo, mail, animals and plants or their products into Australia, and inspection and certification for a range of animal (and plant) products exported from Australia.

  Product Certifications:

Halal 
Halal is a Quaranic term which means 'allowed' or 'lawful' as permitted by Allah - the Supreme Law Giver.

Followers of the Muslim faith are only permitted to eat food that is Halal. For a product to be Halal (lawful) for Muslim consumption, all its ingredients should be Halal.

The Frosty Boy Australia premises are approved by The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (A.F.I.C.) to produce Halal products for consumption by Muslims Worldwide, with specific mentioning of our Powder Ice Cream Bases (meaning soft serve ice cream and scoop ice cream bases) and Milk Powder.
