Code: B008– YOGHURT SMOOTHIE BLENDER (& Slush Machine) BASE – 8 x 1.5 kg per carton.
YOGHURT FRUIT SMOOTHIE (Using Juice & Fruit)
- Take a cup and fill 70% with ice.
- Leaving the ice in the cup, pour 100% fruit juice over the ice to HALF the level of the ice.
- Then pour water or low fat or soy milk over the the rest of the ice to the 70% level.
- Transfer to blender. For every 500ml (16 oz) shake,
add 50ml (60grams) YOGHURT SMOOTHIE BLENDER BASE, and
- Add 75 gram Fruit
- Blend for 30 seconds and serve.
Yield per 12 kg Carton: 200 Yoghurt Smoothies/Shakes of 500ml (16oz.)
(Total volume of ingredients after dissolving = 450ml +10% aeration = 495ml)
YOGHURT FRUIT SHAKE (Using Juice only – no fruit):
- Take a cup and fill 85% with ice.
- Leaving the ice in the cup, pour fruit juice over the ice to HALF the level of the ice.
- Then pour water or low fat or soy milk over the the rest of the ice to the 85% level.
- Transfer to blender. For every 500ml (16 oz) shake,
add 50ml (60grams) YOGHURT SMOOTHIE BLENDER BASE.
- Blend for 30 seconds and serve.
- (Optional: 15 ml fruit flavoured topping to enhance fruit flavour)
SLUSH MACHINE MIXING INSTRUCTIONS (For high volume users)
Mix 1.5 kg to 6.5 litres water, pour into slush machine and freeze down.
SLUSH MACHINE METHOD for YOGHURT SMOOTHIES:
· Pour frozen Yoghurt Smoothie Base from slush machine into blending jug.
· Add Fruit Juice – 1:1 with frozen Yoghurt Smoothie Base.
· Add fruit to taste (10 – 20% depending on ripeness and flavour of fruit)
· Blend with industrial-type blender.
· Pour into cup and serve.
· If Smoothie is too sweet, replace some of the fruit juice with a non-sugar containing beverage like milk, soy milk or ice water.
NOTE: Consult your Operators Manual about how to safely handle a milk-based product in a slush machine. Strict hygiene & sanitation regimes need to be followed.
