Some ideas on how you can use soft serve to expand your menu

PLAIN CONES
Can be served in any one of the following cone types:



A Betta Cup Cone
B King Cup
C Frosty Boy Double Cone
D Frosty Boy Large Single Cone
E Frosty Boy Economy Cone
F Frosty Boy Small Single Cone
G Frosty Boy Waffle Cone
H 'Little Dipper' Cone


 
TWIN TWIST
Remember that with any twin-barrel machine, you can do a twin-twist of the two flavours by pulling the middle draw-handle - again using any of the above cones.


 
CHOCOLATE DIPPED CONES
Any of the before mentioned ‘Plain Cones’ can also be chocolate dipped using special molten dipping chocolate.*
The following are popular choices:

> Plain Dipped Cone or Cup cone
> Dipped Cone with Flake
> Rocket (Flake stuck down the middle instead of from the side)
> Dipped ‘Nut Sprinkle Cone’ -very popular!
> Double Dipped Cone with Nuts.

*(You get special Chocolate warmers, which keep the Dipping Chocolate in a liquid state between 38º and 42º. Some dipping chocolates are liquid at around 28º Celsius and do not need heating.)


 
DECORATED CONES
Any of the cones under 'Plain Cones' can be decorated with the following:

> Crushed Nuts (’Nut Sprinkle Cone’)
> Sprinkles
> Flakes or sprinkled with crushed Flake
> Sherbet
> Clown Cone, Pixie cone, etc using Smarties ™ for eyes, nose, etc.


 
LOW FAT & LOW CALORIE CONES
It is important to note that in our health conscious society, many are moving to healthier alternatives. Normal soft serve contains 4.5-6.5% fat on average, while LOW FAT alternatives like Frosty D’Lite and Chocolate D’Lite contain less than 1% fat. They also contain much less calories per serve than regular Full Cream Soft Serve and are therefore classified as ‘LOW CALORIE’.

Cones, sundaes & shakes made with D'Lite can be sold at a premium price - usually 25% per serve more expensive, whilst the product cost per serve may only be 2 - 3 US cents more expensive than the high fat alternatives. 

Sell them as:

> Plain sundaes & cones.
> Flavoured sundaes & cones (Pre-flavour with any of our delicious Fruit Syrups.)
> Plain or flavoured on fruit salad.
> As a base for ‘Skinny Shakes’.


 
LOW FAT YOGHURT
A very popular choice! Our ’Frozen Yoghurt’ is popular in any form. Interestingly, must people prefer/buy it in a sundae cup, not a cone. It is also classified as ‘LOW CALORIE’ soft serve. It is 98% Fat Free. YoFrost contains real yoghurt culture. It is extremely popular when flavoured with our Fruit Syrups.

Sell them as:

> Plain sundaes & cones
> Flavoured sundaes & cones (Pre-flavour with any of our delicious Fruit Syrups.)
> Plain or flavoured on fruit salad
> As a base for ‘Skinny Yoghurt Shakes’


 
SUNDAES
Sundaes are a big part of business, and with just a little effort, they can generate a lot of profits. Firstly, keep in mind that each of the before mentioned powder bases, D’Lite low fat soft serve & Yofrost, can be sold plain or decorated as sundaes, topped with their favourite topping/s.

The options are endless. Here are a few ideas, but dare to create your own too:

> Delicious swirls of Low fat Vanilla D’Lite on top of fresh strawberries...
> Juicy slices of Peaches or Pears topped with passion fruit flavoured Yofrost ‘frozen yoghurt’.
> Diced pieces of watermelon topped with Full Cream Vanilla soft serve.
> A bowl of fresh seedless grapes, banana slices and diced mango topped with vanilla yoghurt soft serve.
> Diced Orange & Apple with swirls of apricot soft serve, topped with strawberry topping.

As you can see... The combinations are endless!


 
FLURRY

Flurry is basically a sundae with a twist! It is soft serve into which confectionery like crushed Flake or crushed Crunchie or Milo or crushed M&M’s are mixed either by hand or by a special blender. It is usually served in a non-transparent cup with a transparent dome lid. It is targeted at the teenage and young adult market and opens up a whole new menu range. It is well worth exploring and has high profit margins!


 
HEALTH FLURRIES

Health Flurries are Flurries made using Low Fat soft serve like our D'Lite or 'frozen yoghurt' like our YoFrost. Then add freshly pureed fruit or preserved fruit puree and blend in a Flurry Machine. An ideal product for heath orientated take-aways with high profit margins.


 
BANANA SPLITS

Banana Splits with sliced banana, 3 dollops of soft serve down the middle, peach or pineapple slices on the side, a cherry on each dollop, some crushed nuts sprinkled over the top with thick chocolate fudge topping draped all over the top... and a wafer! Or use your own imagination...


 


DESSERT & OTHER IDEAS

> Apple Pie, Cheese Cake or Mud cake with soft serve (Instead of cream)
> Mud cake Muffins topped with soft serve
> Waffles with soft serve
> Pancakes with soft serve
> Crepes with soft serve
